PHARMAC have advised the Dietitians Board that from October 2011, Prescribing dietitians will be able to apply for (hard copy) Special Authority for Special Foods benefits, using the paper forms. This is very good news and takes Prescribing dietitians one step closer to the goal of being authorised to do electronic applications (which will happen once the computer changes have been implemented).
