Online APC Renewal Process - Information, Terms and Conditions

From February 2012, the Dietitians Board intends to be able to process online applications with payment to renew APCs, upon receipt of NZ $552.00 and of the required declaration/information. This online APC renewal process will only be available from February to 31 March 2012, and will be closed after that date.

Please read the following information carefully.

Your access and payment by Creditcard will be taken to be acceptance by you that you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions:
• All applications to renew an APC must be received before 31 March 2012. It is illegal for a dietitian to continue practising after 31 March 2012, if his/her application has not been received by the Board.
• You will only be eligible to renew your APC online if you are a currently practising dietitian and you have completed the required minimum number of credits and activities in ‘My CCP’, to have gained a green tick in the ‘APC Approved’ box, enabling you to proceed.
• Should there be a valid reason for entering fewer than the required credits - such as working less than one year (e.g. returning from maternity leave, or from overseas, or time in other employment), please identify these reasons to the Registrar prior to applying for the APC online.
• After payment has been made online (by credit card payment-Visa or Mastercard only), the declaration/information has been approved by the Registrar and the payment has been processed by the Secretariat’s Administrator, the applicant will be sent the APC for the 2012/2013 year by normal post. This process is expected to take approximately one week.
• If the application is made online but the paperwork is posted to the Registrar with a cheque,(either by the applicant or by the employer), the process will likely take two weeks, including cheque clearance time.
• Fees are in NZ dollars.
• There is currently no surcharge for paying by credit card.
• Once an application has been made and activated, there are no cancellations or refunds, unless the Board declines your application for an APC, or there are other exceptional circumstances.

Note about Online Credit Card Payments from your Workplace
It is possible that some employers’ computer systems may have strict security settings preventing the Board’s website from directing users to the secure credit card processing page.  If the computer system at your workplace is preventing you from accessing the secure credit card processing page when you are attempting to pay online, please contact your IT team, or submit your payment by logging on from a computer in a different network (e.g. at home).
