About | Board Membership

The Board's membership may comprise a minimum of five persons and a maximum of 14 persons as determined by the Minister of Health.

The membership must include:

• A majority of members who are health practitioners.
• Two or three laypersons depending on the size of the Board.

The current Board is:

• Barbara Ryan of Blenheim  - Chairperson
• Mary McNab of Whangarei - Deputy Chairperson
• Barbara Cormack of Auckland
• Avis McIntosh of Invercargill
• Eruera Maxted of Whangarei 
• Vicki Robinson of Wellington
• Vernon Tile of Wellington 
• Carol Wham of Auckland

Anyone may make nominations to the Minister of suitable people to be Board members.
